Cloisonne enamel set in sterling silver held by a handmade sterling silver chain. Featuring the soft whilte and green of the Correa Alba flower surrounded by finely textured silver. The 50cm oval link chain closes with a hook clasp. Pendant is 33 x 40 mm including bail.

Enamelling is the ancient art of fusing glass to metal.
Cloisonne Enamelling is a technique of using metal wires to create cells or cloisons into which enamel powder is laid. The piece is fired in a kiln at 760-815 degrees celsius. Several layers of enamel are fired until the desired image is created. The surface is then filed, sanded and polished to create the desire effect. The final piece is then placed in a setting.
Enamel jewellery will last many years if protected from sharp objects and hard impacts.
To clean: use only a damp cloth. Do not immerse in liquid. Silver components can be wiped with a silver cleaning cloth (included with purchase).
